Campaign for Free Anti-Müllerian Hormone Testing
United by the wish to help more couples fulfil their dream of having a child, in the new year 2021 we are launching a campaign for free consultations with Dr. Petra Makedonova and free Anti-Müllerian hormone testing at Adella IVF clinic. The initiative is carried out together with the Dream for a Child Foundation, the Mama Zona information portal and the Super Baby programme, and aims to support more women in their fight for a successful pregnancy.
All women who have reproductive problems and have not yet been able to fulfil their dream naturally can take part in the campaign. To take part, you need to send:
- An email to mechtazadete@abv.bg, in which you tell us your story on the way to fulfilling your dream of having a child, remembering to include your name and a contact phone number
- Attach any test results, if you have had tests done so far.
On 8 March we will draw 30 participants, who will have the opportunity to have a free consultation with Dr. Petra Makedonova and win a free Anti-Müllerian hormone test at Adella Fertility clinic.
- The free Anti-Müllerian hormone test is ordered after a consultation with Dr. Petra Makedonova!
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is an established and widely used marker reflecting ovarian reserve. It is particularly important when we talk about a woman's reproductive health.
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is a glycoprotein hormone that occurs naturally in the human body. Its levels can easily be measured by taking venous blood, and the test can be done at any time during the menstrual cycle. Measuring AMH is an indicator frequently used in reproductive medicine and indicates a woman's fertility potential. It is an early indicator of declining ovarian reserve. AMH is secreted by the antral follicles in the ovaries, and its secretion begins even before a girl is born.
An AMH test is most often ordered by a reproductive specialist in some of the following cases:
- To assess ovarian reserve
- When polycystic ovary syndrome is suspected
- Before an IVF procedure
- In unexplained infertility
- To detect approaching menopause
Doctors use the AMH test to determine whether you are a good candidate for an IVF procedure. This can help them decide whether or not to proceed with IVF. It can also be used to determine whether you can get pregnant naturally.
