Dr. Petra Makedonova took part in a discussion on demographic problems organised by Darik and “9 Months”.
Adella Fertility Clinic supports the initiative of the two media outlets to encourage dialogue and search for solutions to some of the most pressing problems in this area.
During the discussion, Dr. Makedonova stressed the importance of timely care for reproductive health. She urged women who, for various reasons, are postponing motherhood to have their ovarian reserve tested and, if necessary, to consider egg freezing. “This decision is an investment in the future and may prove crucial when the time comes for the ‘9 months’,” she noted.
The event took place on 28 November and brought together experts from various fields – education, business, the social sector and healthcare.
Dr. Makedonova shared her concerns about the growing percentage of women who postpone motherhood and highlighted the risks associated with premature ovarian insufficiency:
“Life expectancy has increased worldwide, but a woman's ability to become pregnant has not. On the contrary, premature ovarian insufficiency is on the rise.”
We are happy to be part of this cause and will continue to support future initiatives dedicated to reproductive health and timely motherhood.
